Nigerian Army Short Service Recruitment Requirements
Applicants must meet the following Nigerian Army Short Service Recruitment Requirements:
- Be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- Be between 23 and 27 years old by 10 January 2027.
- Be medically, mentally and physically fit.
- Meet the required height of 1.68m for males and 1.65m for females.
- Possess a minimum of Second Class Lower degree or HND Lower Credit.
- Obtain the qualification from an accredited institution.
- Have tertiary academic credentials obtained from 2018 to date.
- Possess a valid birth certificate or age declaration.
- Possess a valid certificate of state of origin.
- Have an NYSC discharge certificate for civilian applicants.
- Have an NYSC exemption certificate for serving military personnel.
- Have no criminal conviction.
- Have no tattoos or body inscriptions.
- Not belong to any cult, secret society or fraternity.
- Not have been dismissed from a military or para-military training institution.
Civilian applicants must also provide the required referee and institutional attestation documents.
Serving military personnel must provide valid military identification, recommendations from their Commanding Officers or Commanders and other required service documents.
