About Lagos State Scholarship Board
The portal for registration for the Lagos State Scholarship 2026 has been opened on January 19th, 2026.
The Lagos State Scholarship Lagos State Scholarship Board is the State Government’s organ established in February 1968. Its primary motif is to support the wellbeing of indigenous students in higher education.
Offered Bursary/Scholarship Awards include:

- Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

The Board recently provided a sum of ₦375m for Lagos State students in 2024, as approved by the State Governor.
Ultimately, the Lagos State Scholarship has a mandate to ensure that no Lagos State indigene in any tertiary institution is deprived of the opportunity to attain his/her educational dream due to non-availability of funds.
Lagos State Scholarship Board Category
The award of Scholarship is basically in two forms;
- The first form (Bursary) is awarded on compassionate grounds.
- The second form (Scholarship) is put in place to encourage brilliant academic performance with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 and above or Second Class Upper/ Upper Credit.
- Subsequent payment of such awards is made on presentation of a progress report as evidence that they have moved to the next stage of their programme.
